Amy: So... wait, do I sew the front and back pieces together inside out and then flip turn it right side out? What do you mean when you say to turn it?

It's awsome but does it work for headbands or hair clips?

If you make it flat in the bottom it should be possible!
I mean like, cut out a bottom piece and sew it on, then sew/glue the hairclip on!

This is fantastic; I'm actually in the process of doing an Amaterasu cosplay myself and the ears have been giving me a lot of trouble. So finding this was perfect timing. : )

I know this is an old comment, but I thought I'd answer.
I personally use a blanket stitch. Simply because it is common to use that sort of stitching on stuffed animals. Depending on if you plan on stuffing it with cotton to keep its shape or not. I suggest blanket though, because it holds the best :3

Great tutorial but you really shouldnt use scissors when cutting fur. It's best to use a razor blade or box cutter and cut it on the back that way the fur looks more natural

the fur has fabrick in the back therefore it's a good idea to use a fabrick scissor!

But it cuts the fur. And if you want a more natural look (which i'm sure you do) use a razor/box cutter on the back. It won't cut the fur, just the back part. The scissors make the fur turn out square and blocky. Just try it out. it might take a little longer but it's worth it.

well when you make the ears there wont be any visible edges of the fur anyways !
you can also use a brush or what ever to split the fur and then cut between there.
when it comes to ear of tail i don't rally care about how i cut it ^^'
